Scholarships

First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union’s Scholarship Program helps graduating high school seniors defray the increasing costs of higher education. This year, ten scholarships will be awarded. The winners will receive $1,500, which will be paid directly to the school the student will be attending. Winners will be required to submit an invoice prior to payment being issued.

Applications will be accepted through January 31, 2023, based on the requirement listed below. The 2023 scholarship winners will be publicly announced at First Commonwealth's Annual Meeting and listed within the Annual Report.

 


 

Eligibility
Any graduating high school senior planning to attend a two- or four-year college, trade school, or alternative education program on a full-time basis beginning in the fall of 2023. Applicants must be a member of First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union to be eligible to apply for a scholarship.

 

Letter of Recommendation
Please submit ONE Letter of Recommendation to be written by the teacher, leader, or supervisor of the organization for whom you have performed community service or volunteer activities. The Letter of Recommendation should be printed on the organization or company letterhead and forwarded to: CSR-Scholarship@firstcomcu.org or mailed to:

*Winners will need to submit a copy of their tuition invoice. Payments will be sent directly to the school upon receipt; please allow up to six weeks for processing. Winners will be notified in March and announced at the annual meeting in April.
