belong. grow. THRIVE.

First Commonwealth has a vision to help people prosper. We have some exciting enhancements to our new locations, including dedicated financial wellness centers that will give you a place to go to receive our free financial education.

Our financial centers will offer new technologies with the goal of making First Commonwealth easier to use. For example, each financial center will have video conferencing capabilities to allow for “walk in” appointments with a small business, mortgage, retirement or investment adviser. You’ll no longer need to come to our headquarters to meet with these specialized advisers. You’ll enjoy the convenience of online appointment scheduling – accessible from any computer or mobile device or in a financial center – so that you can schedule a face-to-face appointment with an expert at a date, time and location of your choosing. We will also be installing ITMs (interactive transaction machines) in financial center lobbies and drive-up lanes so you can connect with Member Experience Associates by video to conduct your transactions. This live video technology will allow us to extend our hours of operation later into the evening, making it more convenient for you to do business with us.

Watch the video below to see a preview of what our “financial center of the future” will look like.

We’re thrilled to be opening two new locations in 2017:

  1. Bethlehem Financial Center (Saturday, July 15) – We are moving our Bethlehem Financial Center (currently on Brodhead Road), to the corner of Center Street/Route 512 and Crawford Drive, by the Weis Market and Subway strip mall.
  2. Easton – Northwood Financial Center (Saturday, August 12) – We are already building out new retail space in Palmer Township in the strip mall next to Sheetz on Route 248.

You’ll immediately feel our commitment to delivering an enhanced experience in our new financial center design. Our objective is to offer you more financial centers in convenient locations that you already frequent, and have our staff equipped with more skills to help advise you on any future financial decisions.

We will offer free online and in-person financial wellness courses and information to help you make more informed financial decisions. Whether you need to start a savings account, apply for your first credit card, save for retirement, buy your first home, start saving for college, create a personal budget, analyze your investment portfolio or grow your business, we’re here to give you the resources and tools to help you make the best decision for YOU.

We continue to provide enhancements to our products and services. In March we upgraded our mobile deposit capability to allow for “real-time posting.” What this means is that you will see your deposit in your account almost immediately after you make the mobile deposit, instead of as much as a day later. We have also upgraded our card and other types of security-related software to enhance the prevention of fraud on First Commonwealth accounts.

Later this year we will be able to instantly issue a new debit or credit card in each of our financial centers, so no more waiting for us to mail you a new or replacement card. In the fall, First Commonwealth Mobile Pay will allow members to securely connect an FCFCU debit or credit card to Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay, Android Pay™ or Microsoft™ Wallet and pay at retailers with just one tap or click from your device. It’s secure and simple to use with all the benefits of FCFCU debit and credit cards.

Our financial center expansion strategy will continue beyond 2017 and include new “financial centers of the future” in the best locations to service our growing membership.
