I understand the hardship you may be facing right now and the uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding the COVID-19 global pandemic. At First Commonwealth, we're here to help! While our daily lives continue to be impacted by COVID-19, it's important to know that the well-being of our employees, members, partners and communities remains our top priority. First Commonwealth is considered life-sustaining business and we remain open to assist you.

We are committed to being responsive to the needs of our members and protecting your finances as the situation evolves. We are also working to conduct business in accordance with recommendations from our government and regulatory agencies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. As a member of First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, your funds on deposit with us are federally insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA and we have created relief options for our members that may be financially affected by this global pandemic.

Please continue to check this site for up-to-date information about our operations, relief programs, financial wellness education, tools, and resources. Our membership and loan applications remain also remain accessble via our website. To help ease any hardships that may be facing as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union is offering financial assistance and connection to community resources to members that have been financially affected. We realize for many, this may be the first time they’ve been faced with this type of crisis and we’re here to help you navigate through these unexpected events and are doing everything we can to offer assistance.

We’ve developed a number of Relief Programs to help members that may need one-time or ongoing assistance. Relief is available for members with loans with us who may need temporary relief or an alternate long-term solution, including payment deferrals on existing loans and special low interest loan programs. 4/2/2020 -  Banking During COVD-19: ITM & Locations Update

Live Video Associate service will be temporarily unavailable at all First Commonwealth ITMs effective Thursday, April 2 - Saturday, April 4, 2020. Members can still access ITMs at any First Commonwealth Financial Center for regular ATM transactions during this time.

As we follow CDC and government guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19, our Fogelsville and Kutztown Financial Centers remain open for drive-up service, however you can conduct most transactions from the comfort and convenience of your home. With First Commonwealth's digital tools for self-service banking and 24/7 account access, it’s easier and faster to manage your account digitally. 

Our Allentown, Bethlehem and Northwood Financial Centers and Corporate Office are temporarily closed; however our employees are working remotely to continue to provide service to our members. Any deliveries should be temporarily re-routed to the Whitehall Financial Center.

3/21/2020 -  First Commonwealth FCU Financial Centers Open for Drive-Up Service Only

Effective, Monday, March 23, 2020 all First Commonwealth FCU Financial Centers will be open for Drive-Up Service Only. This will allow us to continue our COVID-19 response effort to help protect the health and safety of our employees, members and community. We are also working to conduct business in accordance with recommendations from our government and regulatory agencies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

Drive-up and Contact Center hours will continue on our modifed schedule and be available from 9 am - 4 pm, Monday through Friday and 9 am to Noon on Saturdays. For you convenience, First Commonwealth locations are listed on our website.

What this means for you is that you can conduct business using our drive-ups at all Financial Centers. We will offer limited service in our Financial Centers by pre-scheduled appointment only. We ask that members request appointments for crucial services that cannot be conducted using drive-up service, ATM/ITM, online or mobile banking, remote deposit or night deposit. Appointments will be available at our Allentown, Easton, Fogelsville and Kutztown locations. 3/19/2020 - Potential Delay in Processing of Real Estate Loans

Due to the impact that Covid-19 is having on our local governments, we may start to see a delay in processing real estate loans. As part of their effort to limit visitors, the Northampton County Courthouse is not allowing title searchers into the County Courthouse and Recorder's Office, which will impact our ability to process real estate loans as title searches are needed through the process and at the time of closing. Our local title companies are working together to share resources and do the best they can to help move things forward.

Our Contact and Financial Center and Drive-Up hours will temporarily be changed.

3/12/2020 - Taking Necessary Steps

With heightened attention on COVID-19 (coronavirus), we are taking the necessary steps to keep our employees and members safe and healthy.

Here are some of the measures FCFCU currently has in place to do our part in protecting our employees and their families, our members, and our volunteers:

  • Our cleaning crew continues to provide additional cleaning of high traffic areas and surfaces in all of our facilities with disinfectant cleaning solutions
  • Our offices and financial centers have been re-supplied with bottles of hand sanitizer
  • We are canceling ALL in-center events (financial wellness seminars, Kid’s Club and member-engagement events) through the end of March

We will always do what we can to help our members and their families, especially when unexpected financial difficulty strikes. Our teams are prepared to offer assistance, as needed, to First Commonwealth members that may be experiencing financial difficulty as a result of this outbreak.
