Bethlehem, PA – October 22, 2018 –First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union announces Emmaus as the location of their newest financial center, continuing its retail expansion and commitment to the Lehigh Valley community. This is the fourth location opening in their new award-winning social banking model since the launch of First Commonwealth’s retail expansion in 2017. Members will have 8 convenient and easily accessible financial centers to choose from, as well as 24/7 access to mobile and online banking.

 First Commonwealth Financial Centers are designed to optimize the member experience, making it easier and more convenient to do your banking, while enhancing our members lives through financial literacy. The new 2,800 square foot financial center, located on Chestnut Street in Emmaus, includes a financial wellness center, social spaces for conversation, certified financial wellness coaches, extended hours, café with free coffee, three ITMs (Interactive Transaction Machines), a drive-up and focus on community. ITMs are advanced ATMs with the added feature of assistance from live Video Associates. ITMs enable members can complete transactions outside of regular banking hours while experiencing personalized service from a live person. First Commonwealth recently won a “Best Branch Experience” Customer Experience Award for this industry-leading, innovative approach.

project leader, John Miller, is an Emmaus High School graduate. To help find the perfect site location for this project, Mr. Miller worked alongside fellow Emmaus High School graduates, Derek Zerfass and Scott Horner, both real estate brokers with Colliers International.

 First Commonwealth has partnered with F.J. Lesher General Contractor LLC and R+D Architecture to provide construction management and design services. Construction is expected to be completed early 2019.
